滑老师对教育行业的热情产生于大学期间,那是在第 一次做英语夏令营讲师的时候。在夏令营中,她教授日常交际口语和标准发音。学生们喜欢听她讲课,感叹:“滑老师讲课很有渲染力。”滑老师从学生们的眼中发现自己做教师的可能性和意义。哪怕只是给到学生一点点灵感,也可能帮助学生走向更好的未来。

Ms Hua’s passion for the education began during her college years. At the summer camp, she taught oral English and standard pronunciation. Students enjoyed her classes, said: "Ms Hua’s classes are very extremely powerful." She found teacher's possibility and significance in every students’ eyes. Even just a little inspiration to students may help them achieve a better future.

她问自己:“我能不能做教育?我能!我能不能做的长久?我能!那我需要做什么?我需要吸收更多,才能向学生输出更多。”于是除了每天的日常工作,她开始废寝忘食地学习、阅读,夏令营结束了累瘫了却由衷地快乐。

She asked herself:"Can I teach? I can!Can I do it as a career?I can!What do I need to do?I need to absorb more for my students." So in addition to her daily work, she began to study and read without eating or sleeping. When the summer camp was over, she felt exhausted but happy. 毕业后,她走上讲台,至今15载。她助力很多学生拿到了牛津、剑桥、伦敦政经等学校的录取,也收获了新浪讲师等荣誉。在和全国优异教师的竞争中,她拿到了去剑桥做访问学者的机会。她学习了剑桥老师教授的全球化教育理念、教育经济管理等课程,去各学校做学术交流,和剑桥市长访谈。这段经历也增进了她对英国教育理念的认识。

After graduation, she became a teacher and taught for 15 years. She helped a lot of students get admitted to famous universities, and also won honors such as Golden Trainer of the 1st National Training Competition. She won the chance to be a visiting scholar at Cambridge after competing with excellent teachers across the country. At Cambridge, She studied courses such as globalization education concepts and educational economic management taught by Cambridge teachers, conducted academic exchanges in famous universities and interviewed with the mayor of Cambridge.

在培训机构的工作中,她教授了一批又一批的学生,却遗憾地发现有一些学生有一定的基础和自我学习能力,却不出分。她观察才发现有的学生粗心、有的学生畏难,有的学生懒,而这些不良习惯和情绪归根结底还是追究于低龄教育没做好。而且培训机构以结果为导向短平快,而学校教育是长期的育人。这也是她选择从事学校教育的原因。

She taught lots of students, but regrettably found that some students did n’t get better marks with their basic and self-learning abilities. She observed that some students were careless, some were afraid of difficulties, and some were lazy. She thought that these bad habits and emotions were ultimately attributed to poor education at a young age. Training institutions are results-oriented and take a short term outlook, while school education is a long-term education.That's why she chose to go to school teaching.

为什么同一个学校,同样的老师,同样年龄的学生,未来走向却大不相同?这样的社会现象就提醒着老师不能只关注分数,更要关注对学生社交能力、思维能力、推导演练等能力的培养。当学生逐渐长大走向社会,这些能力是支撑一个人长久发展的核心力量。

With the same school, the same teachers, the same age,but the same age students have different futures? Such a social phenomenon reminds teachers not only to pay attention to exam results, but also to the cultivation of students' social skills, thinking skills, deductions and exercises. When students grow up and step into the society, these abilities are the core strength which support a person's long-term development.

滑老师强调教育要着眼于学生的最近发展区,为学生提供带有难度的内容,调动学生的积极性,发挥其潜能,超越其最近发展区而达到下一发展阶段的水平,然后在此基础上进行下一个发展区的发展。

Teacher Stacy emphasized that education should focus on students' proximal development zone, provide students with difficult content, arouse students' enthusiasm and develop their potential. They should go beyond their proximal development zone and reach the level of the next development stage, and then proceed to the next development zone on this basis.
