圣比斯与英国杜伦大学教育学院合作创建了融合数学课，让圣比斯学生不仅能够更高效掌握学习内容，还能够锻炼数学思维，提高数学应用的水平。

In collaboration with Durham University, St Bees has created a fusion mathematics curriculum that enables students not only to master learning content more effectively, but also to exercise mathematical thinking and improve the level of mathematical application.

BBC曾筹划一场中英教育PK赛，制作组邀请了五位来自中国的老师，请他们在英国的一所公立中学开展一场为期4周的教学实验。PK赛中最抢眼的莫过于一位杭州来的数学老师，他带的班级，最终测验平均分67.74，高出英国老师班级13分！

Five Chinese teachers were invited by the BBC to conduct a four-week experiment in a British school. The most eye-catching was a math teacher from Hangzhou, in his class the final test score average was 67.74, 13 points higher than the British teacher’s!

As a matter of fact, Mathematics education in China has a long history and has formed its own curriculum and educational methods in the process of development. China's mathematics curriculum has a rigid structure and clear logic. It emphasizes induction, summary, review and consolidation, and training of exam question solving skills and arithmetic, which can effectively help students firmly master basic knowledge and the complicated skills of mathematics. In order to strengthen the mathematical foundation of students, our school uses of the national mathematics curriculum.

英式教学更侧重推理过程。

我们的教育方法可能太死板了．我们给你知识，你就学。可是对于那些不能这么学的学生呢？

单纯的被动学习，会让学生失去创造性解决问题的能力。而这种能力，需要给孩子空间，反复打磨，反复思考，才能具备。如此看来，中西融合的数学也许是较好的模式。我校的融合数学既运用中国的数学资源与学习方法，也采纳了英式思维训练模式与课程体系。

Purely passive learning will make students lose the ability to solve problems creatively. To master this ability, we have to give children space to refine and rethink. In this regard, a fusion of Chinese and Western mathematics may be the best model. Fusion mathematics in our school not only uses Chinese mathematical resources and learning methods, but also adopts British creative thinking training model and teaching method.

我校将剑桥数学课程融入，提高学生数学应用的水平，通过任务型、活动性课堂发散学生思维，提高学生数学学习的深度与广度。

Our school integrates Cambridge Assessment Internationaln Education, improves students' level of mathematics application, diverts students' thinking through task-based and active classes, and comprehensively improves the depth and breadth of students' mathematics learning.

在学球的表面积时，老师给我们带了橘子。我们先把橘子切成两半，在纸上用橘子画了四个圆，再把橘子皮剥开放在圆形里，刚刚好铺满四个圆。由此推出了球的表面积是4πR²。这让我对这个公式印象深刻！

竞赛中的数学 Math competition

在去年的袋鼠数学思维挑战赛中，我校学生初次登场便斩获10个奖项。参与数学竞赛不仅可以帮助学生延展数学知识，还可以激发学生自主学习的动力。

In last year's Math Kangaroo, our students won 10 prizes. Participating in math competitions not only help students extend their math knowledge, but also motivate students to study independently.

Let the students appreciate mathematics and develop logical thinking while having fun with games. This semester, teachers guided students to further explore Huarongdao, Hanoi, trying to instill a love of maths in all our students.

Fun energy supermarket, hacking Morse code riddles ...... Every math activity stimulates children’s interest. This is inseparable from the careful lesson design of each teacher, the game is presented in the form of problem-solving and teamwork, ensuring the students enjoy mathematics and can additionally discover the beauty within mathematics.
