融合科学课程

A fusion science curriculum

中外教联合授课 Joint research

为了更好地适应国际化教育,进一步夯实孩子的英文能力,我校的科学课由外方和中方老师讲授,强化科学中名词的英文学习,创设浸泡式学习氛围。中教侧重对科学知识的构建和巩固,外教注重对课堂活动的设置与实施。

In order to help students adapt to international education and further strengthen their English ability, science classes in our school are co-taught by foreign and Chinese teachers. Chinese teachers focus on the construction and consolidation of scientific knowledge, whilst foreign teachers pay attention to the facilities and implementation of classroom activities in addition to providing the continuing bilingual environment.

人文引领的融合科学课 Fusion A-STEM

作为STEM教育协作联盟的实验校,我校倡导知行合一,实施人文引领的融合科学课程。A-STEM教研组包括科学、语文、心理、音乐等多学科老师,老师基于本地人文,融合前沿科学,进行课题设置。让学生们在跨学科背景下开拓学术视野,懂得科学的精神内核。

As an experimental school of the STEM Education Alliance, our school advocates the integration of knowledge and action, and implements integrated science courses. The A-STEM teaching and research group includes teachers from various disciplines such as science, Chinese, psychology and music and etc. The teachers are based on local humanities and integrate cutting-edge science to set up subjects. Students can broaden their academic horizons and understand the spiritual core of science in an interdisciplinary context.

今年10月16日神十三发射成功,我们一起目睹了这时刻。老师从嫦娥奔月的向往讲到两弹一星的辉煌,让我觉得非常自豪。同时我们开始学习《奔向太空-水火箭》,一起设计与制作水火箭,并在户外实验飞行,测量飞行会受哪些因素会影响。

在实践和探究中学习科学 Science is learned through practice and inquiry

实践出真知。老师会鼓励学生提问,让孩子在好奇心和求知欲的驱动下动手验证,对于出现的错误与同学、老师交流并进行纠正,从而不断完善和改进实验。

It is often said that ‘Practice is the mother of wisdom’. Teachers will encourage students to ask questions, so that children develop their curiosity and thirst for knowledge becoming driven and seeking hands-on verification, learning from the mistakes of students and teachers, to communicate and correct, so as to constantly improve.

我们在实验室用显微镜观察洋葱和盐水的作用,总结出细胞的吸水与失水规律。这让我直接明白了这个科学原理并深深记住了它!

这种在实践中进行探究性学习的方式,不仅仅会让学生学习科学原理,更会激发学生的热情,让学生感受到探索科学的乐趣。而且这会帮助学生逐渐形成这样一套循环完整的科学思维体系:观察事实→用逻辑推结论→审辩性地看待结论并对其进行调整→寻找新的事实。

This method of inquiry based learning in practice, will not only enable students to learn scientific principles, but also stimulate their enthusiasm and let students feel the fun of exploring science. And this will help students gradually develop a complete set of scientific thinking: observe the facts → deduce the conclusion logically → view the conclusion critically and adjust it → look for new facts.

活动中的科学 Science activities

学校会定期组织科学活动,比如下周将举办科学节,通过丰富多彩的活动,在学生内心深处种下科学的种子,让他们以自由的姿态去探索充满无限奥秘的殿堂。

The school organises regular science activities, such as the upcoming science festival next week. Through colourful activities, the seeds of science will be planted in students' hearts, allowing them to explore the palace full of infinite mysteries with a free attitude.

研学中的科学 Science study tour

更好的教育在路上。我们会以研学的形式,打破固有的桎梏,把学生学习的足迹延申到各个地方。我校曾组织学生以圣比斯“小市长”的身份走入石家庄城市馆,用参与者的目光了解城市的规划和资源,了解城市的垃圾处理等等。

The best lecture is on the road. In the form of research, We will break the shackles and extend the footprint of students' learning to all places. The students, as the "Little Mayors" of St Bees school, entered the SJZ City Exhibition Center and explored the urban planning and resources, urban waste disposal.

我校获得了中国STEM教育协作联盟的授权,中国STEM教育协作联盟创始人、联盟主席邹晓东博士、北京数字创客教育科技研究院院长毛澄洁都曾到校指导,进行STEM教学的培训。我们将通过帮助教师成长,帮助学生创造。

We got the authorization from China STEM Education Collaboration Alliance, Dr. Zou (Chairman and Director of China STEM Education Collaboration Alliance) and President Mao (Beijing Digital Maker Education Technology Research Institute) came school to conduct teacher training.

我校的科学课程以保护孩子的好奇心和求知欲为前提,培养孩子的科学兴趣,带领孩子运用科学方法来发现或者解决身边的科学问题,自然而然地学习科学知识,体会科学的人文价值和科学的精神内核。

On the premise of protecting children's curiosity and thirst for knowledge, the science curriculum in our school cultivates children's interest in science, guiding students to discover or solve problems around them, using scientific methods, learning scientific knowledge naturally, and experiencing the humanistic value of science.
