A Fusion English Curriculum
中西融合的沉浸式双语环境 Bilingual Environment
In our daily teaching, we have established the structural proportion of bilingual environment creation across different grades. In general, the proportion of English classes increases as the children progress through the school, with 40 percent in the lower grades and 80 percent in the middle school. The school not only promotes the use of English in daily teaching, but also strives to increase the proportion of English use outside the classroom, in various campus activities and in every aspect of student life.
在日常教学中,我们确立了不同年级中英授课的双语环境的结构性比重。总体上英语授课的比重,随着年级增加而增加,小学低年级40%,初中达80%。我校不仅在日常教学中提倡多使用英语,而且在课堂外、在各种校园活动和生活的每一个细节中都努力提高英语使用的比重。
Bilingual education is not only about language teaching, but also about culture, cognition, and values carried by language. Although this rich connotation is multifaceted, its core is still Chinese culture. We hope that every student can be rooted in Chinese culture, and be tolerant and understanding of different cultures from around the world, becoming a promoter of cross-cultural communication, and representing China on the world stage.
双语教育不只是语言教学,还包括语言承载的文化、认知、思维以及价值观。这一丰厚的内涵尽管是多层面的,但其内核仍然是母语界定的文化根基。我们希望每一个学生都能扎根于中国文化,并包容和理解世界上不同的文化,成为跨文化交流的推动者,代表中国在世界舞台上发声。
小班分层教学模式 Hierarchical teaching model
For students with different learning backgrounds, learning habits and learning levels, the school will adopt more personalized and targeted hierarchical teaching, providing step-by-step teaching content for students of different levels. The school treats each student as an independent individual and assigns students to appropriate levels of learning based on comprehensive evaluation of their knowledge reserve, learning ability and prediction of their potential. In this way, the method based on ZPD can maximize the growth environment which is suitable for students with different learning bases styles.
针对拥有不同学习背景、学习习惯和学习水平的学生,学校会采用更为个性化和有针对性的分层教学,为不同层次的学生提供循序渐进的教学内容。学校将每一个学生视为独立的个体培养,在综合评价学生知识储备、学习能力,以及预测学生潜能的情况下,将学生分配到合适的层级学习。这样根据最近发展区理论进行分层教学的方式,能尽可能地让不同学习基础、不同学习风格的学生获得与自己相适宜的成长环境。
英文阅读 English reading
“ The ability to read is the foundation of any learning .”Jingxun Shi said. Many parents have realized the importance of Reading in English for their children. Indeed, reading can not only improve their English academic ability, but also cultivate their logical thinking and the ability to learn knowledge through reading.
教育学博士石井勋曾说过:“阅读能力是任何学习的基础,因为每一门学问都从阅读书籍开始。”许多家长早已意识到英文阅读对孩子的重要性,的确,通过阅读不仅能提高孩子的英文学术能力,还能培养他们的逻辑思维以及通过阅读学习知识的能力。
It can be said that every child does not like the beautiful world in books, our school will arrange three English reading activities every week. In the lower grades, teachers take picture books to start the afternoon reading, while in the higher grades, students can read independently. The unique APP of our school provides a wide range of picture books and stories read aloud. We set up a point system to gamify reading and encourage students to score points and get rewards.
其实没有孩子不喜欢书里的曼妙世界。我校每周会安排3次英文午读,低年级午读由老师讲绘本开启,高年级则具备了独立阅读的能力。学校创建的APP更是提供广泛的绘本和故事配音,我们设置了积分系统,把阅读游戏化,激励学生们积分拿奖励。

竞赛中的英语 English competition
In the Spelling Bee of China, 25 students entered the semi-finals. At the same time, the school also organized a Spelling Bee and English Speech Competition, which greatly stimulated students' enthusiasm for Learning English. Our school will organize regular competitions, and gradually integrate with international competitions, providing students with a variety of stages to fulfil their potential!
在2021-22赛季国际英文拼词大会中,我校共有25名学生进入复赛。与此同时,校内也组织了拼词大赛和英语演讲比赛,学生们英文学习的热情被大大激发。我校会定期组织竞赛活动,并逐渐与国际赛事接轨,为学生们提供丰富多样的舞台,尽情绽放自己的光彩!
