女神节当天，在上师大附二外剑桥部童安妮老师的美术课堂上，正酝酿着一场“向女神送祝福”的主题活动。童安妮老师根据教学大纲，结合小学生的年龄特点以及“三八妇女节”(传统节日)，在字体设计这堂课上深入浅出的讲解要点，激发学生的创造力，让学生用美感去表达对女神们的敬意和爱意。

Today, March 8th, is a festival which celebrates women. In the Art department at our school, there is a themed activity of “sending blessings to goddesses” brewing. Taking into account the curriculum and the age of the students, teacher Annie Tong has planned an activity which enables the students to creatively express their respect, love and affection for all “goddesses”. She carefully explains the finer points of the traditional art of character design and then allows the students to express themselves individually and beautifully.

向女神送祝福

这堂课让学生了解到宋体雅致大气;黑体厚重醒目;楷体清秀平和;魏体刚劲正气;舒体圆润飘逸;隶书含中有露，刚柔并济。

The students learn many styles of fonts and writing. This class focuses on script from the Song Dynasty. It is both elegant and passionate, and the calligraphy requires both forceful and gentle strokes.

每一种字体都蕴含一种感情，大家常说的“颜筋柳骨，颠张狂素”情同此理。学生一边学习一边想到妈妈、老师、校园里的保洁阿姨都要过节日......他们带着这种感情选择自己喜欢的字体来致敬各位“女神”，祝她们“三八妇女节快乐”。

Every font and handwriting style conveys a different emotion and while writing their blessings and thanks, the students are encouraged to think of their mothers, the teachers and the cleaning aunties at school. In this way they choose their favorite font and use it in their works of art.

小学高年级的学生对字体的审美早已了然于心，童安妮老师因材施教，鼓励学生用贺卡的形式去表达“情感”。大多数学生写下：“妈妈，我想祝您妇女节快乐，您辛苦了”。质朴简洁的语言却表达出学生们最真实的感受，也让那位最实至名归的“女神”浮出水面。

The senior school students have long known how to use the beauty of fonts to convey their feelings, and teacher Annie Tong has encouraged them to express themselves using a greeting card style. Most students write: “ Mom, I want to wish you a Happy Women’s Day; you have worked so hard…”. These are simple, unaffected words but they convey the purest heartfelt feelings.

深受书法启发，设计了苹果字体的乔布斯在斯坦福大学演讲中说道：“你无法预测过去的经验会怎么连起来，只有在回顾的时候，这些连结才会明朗。所以，你必须相信它们会连起来……这个信念从来不曾令我失望，也对我一生有关键的影响。”是啊，也许学生现在学到的知识有限，这些作品虽然暂时让人看不出大师的端倪，但是这些经历会让他们日后成长为感情丰富，具有同理心的人。各位辛劳美丽的“女神”们，请你收下这群可爱学生的“情意”吧!

Inspired by calligraphy, Steve Jobs, who created the fonts used by Apple phones and computers, said in a speech at Stanford University: “ You can’t predict how past experiences will connect in the future, and only in retrospect do these links become clear. So you have to have faith that they will connect…this belief has never failed me and it has had a crucial impact on my life.”Yes, perhaps these students only have a limited knowledge now; perhaps the works of art which they are creating aren’t on the level of the Grand Masters. But these experiences will enable them to grow and mature into emotional beings and empathetic adults. Beautiful ladies – please accept the wishes and blessings of these adorable students!
